Department of Vocational Training (Skill Development Training)
The department functions with the objectives of providing adequate support for adults with disabilities to lead an independent life. The service includes, assessment and vocational guidance and various skill training and vocational training programmes for the adult’s with disabilities. In addition to this, concept of empowering the family members introduced, by conducting Income Generation Programme for the economic independence and better quality of life.

Employability Skill:
Employability skills is the knowledge skill and attitude needed to get, keep and grow in any job. While every person needs this competency to have a success career, it is important to understand the role of employability for person with disability (PwD).

Skill Training:
PwDs Skill Development Scheme aims to enhance the skills of Persons with Disabilities by providing quality vocational skill training, enabling them to gain meaningful employment. It also empowers PwDs to become self-reliant, productive, and contributing members of society.
