- Delivery of rehabilitation services suitable to the socio-cultural background of Jharkhand State
- Training & Manpower development for providing services to Persons with Disabilities
- Serve as a resource centre for rehabilitation and special education of persons with disabilities
- Training of the rehabilitation professionals, village level workers, multi-rehabilitation workers and other concerned functionaries in Govt. and Non-Govt. sectors
- Undertake the research and development with specific reference to disability and disability rehabilitation
- Undertake designing, fabrication, fitment & delivery of aids and appliances for persons with disabilities
- To undertake a public education programme for the creation of awareness in the community about disability & disability rehabilitation
- To establish linkages with existing medical, educational and employment services (for identification, assessment and service provision)
- To stimulate the growth of service by encouraging and supporting organizations, parent groups and self-help groups and other concerned departments/institutions
- To undertake human resources development for disability rehabilitation
